Planning & Prioritizing
“No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening – it is painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way” Hebrews 12:11
I hope you find this as encouraging as I do!
Friends, we are doing a hard thing. But God has made us to do hard things!
I started writing this for today before I read my devotional – and it talks about this! How crazy is that?
“Tough, in this sense, describes the willingness to do hard things. It means we are UNMOVABLE in our top priorities and SOLID on what matters. Even if it requires that WE DO SOMETHING WE DON’T LIKE, we know that we can tap into GOD’S STRENGTH.” (Megan Myers)
Megan’s talking about planning and prioritizing. Do you find blessing by prioritizing regular exercise and daily devotions?
I am definitely not perfect at any of it, but for me – the more I make it about God, the less I am focused on me. The less I worry about what others think. The more I focus on these disciplines – even though I don’t feel like it a lot of times, the more blessing I see, and God reveals confidence and capability through His strength.
That’s my prayer for you today.
